blastoise or swampert

Gah, i cant decide between them. both are basically tanks i think. but i've heard that swampert is better at tanking and i haven't found anything about blastoise. from what i know, it has a good special def. which gives it the option of mirror coat, but swampert has that also i think along with counter. I'm looking for the better waller/tank/ all around better.

totally blastoise. Oringal starter and I like kanto better

I would say swampert. Hes a dual type and blastoise is a single type. I battle this guy that had a swampert with maxed out defense and sp.def and I had a honchkrow that was maxed out in attack and sp.atk and had the ability super luck, holding a scope lens and that used night slash (which gives it a maximum critcal hit ratio of 50%) and night slash got a critical hit and it did like 2 damage! The same thing happened with a blastoise and it KOed him! So you should go with swampert.
