who is the best stater pokemon for all games

Charizard is good but it's weak against rock (x4). Empoleon is good but I water pokemon aren't my favourite!

I asked a few of my friends about this question and here are there opinions:

Morgan: 'I would say Chimchar because he's cool and when he evolves into Infernape, he'll beat all. And also, he is much better than Blaziken'

Joe: 'Chimchar owns all!'

Jacob: 'Charmander is very good when it evolves into Charizard'.

Myself (Tom): 'I would say Piplup because when it evolves into Empoleon, it'll have more resistances than the other pokemon'

bulbasaur is my least favorite of all of the starter pokemon! i'd have to say the best one is Blastoise, because it's super effectives are only grass and thinder, but u can teach it earthquake and ice beam. And he's also so cool. I have one, his name is Jetstream, is'nt that the coolest name?
