Should Garchomp stay as OU?
Smogon Garchomp or S-Dexoys

Everyone wants to belive that Smogon is the commandments of all pokemon rules... Everything they do, you guys follow... Now is the time when you choose, should we follow the rules of what Smogon says or keep it the way it should be... As you guys all know, S-Dexoys is legal as an OU pokemon but I have banned it in my clan as an Uber since it is able to outspeed Scarf Garchomp while carring a lifeorb... Garchomp can be easily countered by switching to gliscor or skarmory... And many pokemon can do a revenge kill if garchomp uses outrage quickly... So should be ban garchomp from this forum as a uber pokemon?

well the answer is simple No cz as we fought garchomp befere we will do it again

I think you misunderstand... I ment keep it as a regular pokemon... Ill rephase it so nobody gets confused...

I would ban it becuz u can teach it offense and deffensc moves so i consider it an uber.

It really doesn't matter if you agree, we're playing a game ment for kids and taking it to the next level by creating standard rules and pushing the pokemon to their limits with iv breeding and ev training.
In a game like that you need the standard for rules to come from somewhere, not everyone is going to agree with some of those rules but I have yet to see a more qualified place for them to be debated over, voted for, and solidified as universal rules for standard ou play.
If you disagree either make a better site to become the leader in the pokemon metagame or make a smogon account reach the required rating on the shoddy sim, make some well written posts and if chomp comes back up for revote with the release of plat which it may, then you can make a difference rather then complaining after the fact.
Based on that I play by smogons ban list. If I let someone else make the rules for the match and they disagree I will accept that but anytime I am in control or when a player challanges my gym they will be chompless for as long as the most accepted set of rules "smogons rules" says.

- I think deoxy's should be uber even if it is easier to counter then chomp *many counters to ghosts and psychics work just as well on deoxys.*
have you seen those double barrier starter deoxys? just what i need in my face, an emerald agi gross behind 2 barriers sweeping on turn 5. and dif versions can make nice anti sweepers, revenge killers, and late game sweepers to.
Those are def coming up for re-vote eventually.
the prob with chomp was it forced every team to carry 2 counters to handle it, and to save them till it came out.
scarf chomp kills powerful ice attackers and yache chomp kills fast ice attackers trying to do a priority ice shards. you where basicly forced to carry a wall that can handle it which centralizes the metagame or carry 2 counters which also sucks.
you can say well you can yache or scarf the other dragons, true but not nearly as effective, salamance is a good mixed attacker and dragonite has a great movepool *support moves electric attacks ect* the 102 speed chomp had ment it could outspeed all the base 100 scarfers which is a lot of pokemon. and his sand veil ability in a sandstorm team + typing that allowed him to not only get rid of a rock weakness but resist stealth rock. made him to good not to use and made way more people run sandstorm teams with chomp, and everyone else to just put chomp in there team.
In the world of the shoddy sim where perfect legendaries are a dime a dozen heatran is no longer being kept in check by chomp allowing the heatran/celebi/waterwall combo to become more common things are only a little better, but in the real world of wifi battles sandstorm teams are less common and noone has a good enough heatran and celebi to run that combo. things are much better.
so we traded sandstorm team overuse backed by a pokemon that can wipe a team if the opp is unlucky and take 1-2 with it if they're lucky for a combo noone can run and is still less threatening then sandstorm backed "is it yache or is it scarfed" chomp. not to mention all the other teams that are now more viable thanks to no garchomp threat.
plus hp's are more diverse now, hp ice isn't a no brainer anymore, electric, fighting, grass, ect can be just as useful which makes the game a little safer for the other dragons to come out and play. Things are better without chomp imo
