EV training

Right Ive had to answers to ev training both different need to no who right.

quote from serebii "instead of doubling the evs gained in battle the power item will add 4 to it" is this true.
because Ive had other people say this the power items double ev whos right

macho brace doubles evs gained, power items give you 4 evs depending on the type of brace ontop of what you'd normally get.

If you kill a golbat which is worth 2 speed evs normally you get 2 speed evs.

If you have a macho brace on and kill that same golbat you gain 4 speed evs total.

If you have a Power anklet and kill that bat you get 2 speed + 4 speed = 6 speed.

If you kill the bat and have a power weight on you get 2 speed + 4 hp = 2 speed 4 hp.

also exp share give the pokemon that battles and the one receiving exp full evs each so your charzard kills golbat and you totadile has exp share on both pokemon get 2 speed evs each although the exp is split.
